Under the Ohio State Practice Act for physical therapy services, Ohio is considered a direct access state. A prescription is not required to get started with treatment. However, there are limitations. If treatment lasts longer than 30 days or 10 visits, whichever comes first, the state law then requires a physical therapy prescription from a health care provider, which can include a physician, nurse practitioner, or chiropractor, to name a few.
I do not accept insurance, but I am happy to provide an invoice or “Superbill” that patients can submit to their insurance independently for reimbursement if requested. I do accept payment in the form of credit card, HSA, FSA, check or cash.
We’ll go over your medical/birth history, do a full-body and pelvic health assessment, and create a personalized plan. Internal exams are only done with your consent and are never required.
